OBITUARIES Mrs. Mary  Linda Chrismon Terry 

    HIGH POINT — Mrs. Mary  Linda Chrismon Terry , 57, of 2220 White’s Mill Rd., died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 30, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

    A native of Gibsonville, she was the daughter of the late James F. Chrismon , Jr. and the late Esquirdo "Rita" Chrismon  and was married for 23 years to Kennie J. Terry , who survives.

She was employed by Western-Southern Life Insurance Company from 1978-1995 and she also worked for Bennett Hosiery Corporation in Gibsonville for many years before she moved to High-Point. She was coowner of Ken Terry Racing Team and was Vice President of Top Hat Enterprises, Inc. of High-Point. Mary had a love for softball and played in the Gibsonville area for many years and was a very avid Earnhardt racing fan.

    Mrs. Terry  is survived by her husband of the home; a stepson, Sean P. Terry  and his wife, Dana, of Atlanta, GA; a step grandson, Sean P. Terry , II; a brother, Billy R. Chrismon  and his wife, Lu Ann, of Gibsonville; and her faithful companions C.J. and Ms. Earnhardt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Ben and Mamie Whitesell, James F. Chrismon , Sr., and Ruth Chrismon  Young.

    The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Hobert Isley. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at the funeral home and other times at the home of her brother, Billy Chrismon , 804 Ellen Dr., Gibsonville.

    The family would like to thank the staff and physicians of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and her many friends for their support during Mrs. Terry’s  illness.
