Obituary Online notes for Virginia Doris MORRIS
Mrs. Doris Morris Bullock, 93, went home to be with her Lord Monday morning, February 7, 2022.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shawn Stinson officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Interment will be in Guilford Memorial Park at a later date.
Doris was born May 27, 1928 in Denton, NC to the late Baxter L. and Grace Hill Morris.
She attended Kings Business College and then was employed by NC National Bank. Later she was an office assistant at Armour Dial and Remington Arms.
For 68 years, she had a loving marriage to Claude Bullock, Jr until his passing in 2019. They were truly "one" and shared a life of travel, square dancing and celebrating events with family. Doris was truly sacrificial and took pleasure in serving others. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit and crochet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and 6 siblings.
Survivors include her children, Cindy Stinson (Dean) of Corolla, NC and Morris Bullock (Cindy) of Richland, WA; her grandchildren, Shawn Stinson (Kalle), Shannon Keller (Adam), Claude G. Bullock III (Erica), Lindsay Bullock, and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Every Age Foundation, with Piedmont Crossing Memory Support in the memo line and mailed to UCHS Foundation, 100 Leonard Ave., Newton, NC 28658 or to Glenwood Presbyterian Church, 1205 Glenwood Ave., Greensboro, NC 27403.
