ELON COLLEGE - Mrs. Mary Claire Whitsell Jeffreys, 76, of 5822 Idlebrook Drive in Charlotte died Saturday at her residence.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery.
A native of Dyersburg, Tenn., she was a retired dorm director at East Tennessee State University. She was a member of Beverly Hills Christian Church in Burlington.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Wilmoth Joyce of Charlotte; sister, Mrs. Ailene Wyrick of Gibsonville.
