Mrs. Eloise Whitesell McPherson
SNOW CAMP — Mrs. Eloise Whitesell McPherson, 82, of 7957 Beale Road, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Liberty Commons after six months of declining health, and a critical illness of five weeks.
A native of Alamance County, she was a homemaker and was a member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Snow Camp Garden Club and the Snow Camp Quilting Group.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd L. “Bob” McPherson of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Cathy M. Curtis and husband, Jerry Curtis, of Graham and Mrs. Marilee M. Kivett and husband, Mitchell Kivett, of Snow Camp; a son, Henry F. McPherson and wife, Dawn D. McPherson of Snow Camp; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Finley and Mrs. Joan Barbee, both of Burlington; a brother, Larry W. Whitesell of Burlington; grandchildren, Brittany McPherson, Andrew Kivett, Lindsey McPherson, and Morgan McPherson, all of Snow Camp; a stepgrandson, Jay Curtis of Graham; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. and Dora McPherson Whitesell.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek United Methodist Church by Dr. James L. Bryan. Burial will be in Rock Creek Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening.
