N. Hazel Tapscott

Miss Nancy Hazel Tapscott, 89, a former resident of Sherwood Drive, Burlington passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Hospice Home. Prior to her death, she had resided at Above and Beyond Family Care and Springview Assisted Living in Graham.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of John Henry Tapscott and Bessie Mc-Cauley Tapscott, both deceased. Miss Tapscott was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and attended Elon College. She retired from Wachovia Bank and was a member of Union Ridge Church.

Survivors include a brother, William Tapscott and wife Barbara of Burlington and several nieces and nephews, Kent Tapscott and wife Roxanne, Kyle Tapscott, Glen Jones and wife Beth, Nancy Foster Chamberlain and Henry Foster and wife Mary Alice. She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Dan Ficklin with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. A private family burial service will be held at Union Ridge Church Cemetery.
