BURLINGTON — Mrs. Vera W. Howard gained victory over death on January 8th, 2009.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Lacy Whitesell and Ella Mae Martin.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Lacey Grey Howard; daughter-in-law, Donna Howard and son, Lyn Howard; three sisters, Naomi Schmidt, Virginia Cralidis and Lucy Isley; two brothers, Worth Whitesell and Ray Whitesell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church. Visitation will be in the sanctuary 30 minutes prior to the service. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Lucy Isley, 3804 Tartan Lane, Burlington, N.C. after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Hospice Home at 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
