Virginia Whitesell Cralidis
Virginia Whitesell Cralidis, born Feb. 16, 1928, passed peacefully on Jan. 28, 2013, at Hospice at Forsyth County after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Alamance County to Lacy Jacob and Ella Mae Martin Whitesell and graduated from North Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1948.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stratus Peter Cralidis of the home; son Jake (Christine) of N.Y., son Peter of Virginia; and daughter Ann of Virginia.
The family wishes to thank Yvonne, Jamie, Stephanie, Eugenia, and Veronica for their exceptional care. The family also wishes to thank James for his assistance.
Burial was in the National Cemetery in Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the home of Lucy Isley, 3804Tartan Lane, Burlington, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Forsyth County.
