Margaret Whitesell Curtis 


    GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Margaret Whitesell Curtis , 93, formerly of Gibsonville, N.C., died Friday, May 11, 2007, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. She was born in Alamance County, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillie Murray Whitesell . Mrs. Curtis  was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Finley Curtis ; brothers, Roy, Maurice, and Raymond Whitesell ; and sisters, Pauline Small, Hilda Whitaker, Inez Hinshaw, and Norma Mitchell.
    Mrs. Curtis  is survived by her son, Don Curtis  and his wife, Linda, of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Lou C. Weddington of Raleigh, N.C. and Cal Curtis  of Roanoke Rapids; and four great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007, in the Chapel of Rich & Thompson Funeral Home, Burlington with the Rev. Terry L. Huffines, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibsonville City Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington.
