NORTH MYRTLE BEACH – Services for David Bowman Small, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, with burial Friday in Pine Hill Cemetery of Burlington, N.C. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or American Cancer Society
Mr. Small died Tuesday, July 6, 1993. Born in Burlington, he was a son of the late Golden Worth and Irma Oldham Small. An Army veteran, he was a graduate of Elon College and received a master's degree and a doctor of divinity degree from Webster University. He was a field director at the American Red Cross for 22 years and attended Ocean View Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, David Small of Longs; a daughter, Dava O'Connell of Culpeper, Va.; brothers James Small of Burlington and William Small of Chamblee Ga.; and four grandchildren.
