Mr. Jerel Thomas Boone
WHITSETT — Mr. Jerel Thomas Boone, 55, of 6401 Clubside Drive, Stoney Creek, died at 4 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2000 at his home.
He was the husband of Mrs. Bette Chasen Boone, who survives and the son of the late Mr. John Sidney Boone Sr. and Mrs. John Sidney Boone Sr., who survives. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg Va., and was a member of the school’s German club. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971, in which time he obtained the rank of captain. He was a principal and president of J. Hyatt Hammond Associates, a Greensboro architectural
and engineering firm, where he worked since 1972.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and his mother of Burlington include a son, Mr. Jeremy Trevor Boone of Clarksville, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Teresa Conrad of Southport and Mrs. Pam Litten of Gibsonville; a brother, Mr. John Sidney Boone Jr.; and one grandchild.
The family will be at Hanes-Lineberry, North Elm Street, Greensboro, from 5 to 7 this evening.
