GREENSBORO - Ethel Luvinia Pegram, 89, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Saturday morning, December 13, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her loving family
Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Monday, December 15, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel with Pastor Mark Sink officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, at Midway Cemetery.
A Greensboro native, Ethel was born October 27, 1919, the daughter of Ed Whitesell and Hattie Hathcock Whitesell Phillips. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and retired from Southern Webbing Mill in 1977 with over 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Whitesell and Hattie Hathcock Whitesell Phillips; three brothers, Raymond and Roy Whitesell and John Phillips; three sisters, Margaret Cooper, Viola Johnson and Betty Lowe, and her loving husband, Ralph Pegram.
Ethel is survived by her loving son, Ben Pegram and his wife, Sylvia Hall Pegram, of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Sherri Pegram King and husband, Rick, of Greensboro and Ralph Benton "Benny" Pegram of Greensboro and special family friend, Lynn Brady of Hillsboro; two great-grandchildren, Kandis King Rumley and husband, Kevin, of Greensboro, and Pete King and wife, Chelsea, of Greensboro; two great-great-grandchildren, Rebecca Rumley and Logan King.
