Anthony “Tony” Roger Ellington Sr.
Anthony “Tony” Roger Ellington Sr. went home to be with the Lord March 24, 2016, after months of failing health.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Rough House” Ellington; mother, Colleen Whitesell Ellington; and granddaughter, Angel Dawn Jones.
He was a former employee of GKN and truck driver for Shippers Transport. He was a member of Prayer, Praise and Worship Church of Thomasville, NC.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Sheila Ellington; son, Anthony Ellington Jr.; daughters, Crystal Ellington, Angela Wilson and husband Stephen; brother, Cody Ellington; grandchildren, Jade Parrish, RJ Jones and Anthony Ellington III.
A memorial service will be held at Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church, 1106 East Morehead Street, Burlington, from 10:30 a.m.to noon Saturday, April 3, 2016, by the Rev. Carl Benton and the Rev. Danny Hopkins from Prayer, Praise and Worship Church.
