Geraldine Adkins Tate
 
 
 GIBSONVILLE - Geraldine Adkins Tate, 73, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Liberty Commons.
 
 A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Wayne Rankin Tate who survives and the daughter of the late William Thomas and Lula Mae Sparks Adkins.
 
 She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
 
 Survivors include her husband, Wayne Rankin Tate; son, Keith Wayne Tate and wife Melinda of Gibsonville; twin daughters, Sharon and Karen Tate of Elon; siblings, Donald Adkins and wife Margaret, Sammy Adkins and wife Janet, Eugene Adkins, Robert Adkins and wife Rhonda, Linda Craig and Brenda Kozlovsky and husband Danny; grandchildren, Kelsie Marie Tate, Stephanie Faye Carwile and Jacob Kincholoe Carwile.
 
 She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her twin sister, Carlene Adkins and sister, Peggy Adkins.
 
 Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Todd Felkel.
 
 Interment will follow in Bethlehem Church Cemetery.
 
 Mrs. Tate will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
 
 The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
