Mrs. Sandra Braxton Tate
ELON COLLEGE — Mrs. Sandra Braxton Tate, 56, of 2251 N.C. 87 North, died
Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing
health, one day critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Dale Frank Tate, who survives,
and the daughter of Mr. William Albert Braxton Sr. and Mrs. Irene Braxton Braxton, both
deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two sons, Mr. Chris Tate of Haw
River and Mr. Jeffrey Tate of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Sheila Braxton Majors of Graham;
a brother, Mr. W.A. Braxton Jr. of Snow Camp; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Charles Herbert Braxton.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev.
Dave Gilbert, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the
