Ann Jones Cook
GIBSONVILLE — Ann Jones Cook , 64, of 1310 E. Joyner St., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer for eight months. She was born in Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late Raymond P. Jones and the late Georgia Rose Jones . She was married for 38 years to James J. Cook , who survives.
She worked for Psycho-Therapeutic Services of Alamance-Caswell and The Elon Homes for Children for several years. She was a graduate of Campbell University, attended St. Mark’s Church and was a member of the Burlington Indians/Royals Booster Club. She was an avid baseball fan and loved attending spring training in Florida. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, James J. Cook of the home; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Cook of Gibsonville; and son, David James Cook of Burlington.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ben Bishop and Dr. Wally Snyder. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence.
