Obituary Online notes for Dafnie Maxine ANDERSON
GREENSBORO Maxine Anderson Fogleman, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Brookdale Lawndale Park Assisted Living in Greensboro.
A funeral service was held at Alamance Presbyterian Church, in Greensboro, on Monday August 7, 2017 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Kyle Goodman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Church prior to the service.
Maxine was born in Guilford County on July 17, 1938 to the late Jesse Layfette Anderson and Bertha Jane Whitesell Anderson.
Maxine was survived by her husband of 62 years, Floyd V. Fogleman of the home; sons, Tony Fogleman and wife Cindy of McLeansville, Craig Fogleman and wife Sheila of Jamestown; mother-in-law, Laura Fogleman of Greensboro; sisters; Louise Burchett, Rose Doby, and Peggy Palidino, all of Greensboro; brother Frank Anderson and wife Yvonne of Greensboro; grandchildren, Aaron Fogleman and fianc‚e, Jackie Mieczkowski of Charlotte, Andrew Fogleman and wife Cynda of McLeansville, Ashley Burgess and husband James of McLeansville, and Sarah Fogleman of Jamestown; great-grandchild Easton Burgess.
Mrs. Fogleman was a member of Alamance Presbyterian Church. She retired from Southeast High School in Greensboro with over 25 years working in the School cafeteria as the baker. She loved to go camping, and to spend time at their beach house, and she loved to cook for her family and others. Most of all, a very avid Carolina basketball fan.
