OBITUARIES Mrs. Genevieve Isley Burgess 
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Genevieve Isley Burgess , 87, of Burlington Manor, 3615 S. Mebane St., and formerly of West Kime St., died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Burlington Manor.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Wallace H. Isley  and the late Lewis A. Burgess , and the daughter of the late Joseph Albright Isley  and Estelle Ingle Isley . She was retired from General Tire Supply and Burlington Tire Service. She was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, where she was active in church projects, and was also a member at large of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Estelle Isley  Thomas and husband, Ed, of Durham; and a grandchild, Mr. Scott Thomas of Durham.
    She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
    A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. G. Robert McKenzie, the Rev. David Greene, and the Rev. Lara Greene.
    The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the graveside service.
    Memorials may be made to Front Street United Methodist Church, 136 S. Fisher St., Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to Gibsonville United Methodist Church, 405 Church St., Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.
