GREENSBORO Kathy Michael Barnett, 63, of Greensboro, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Lebanon Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Kathy was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for forty years, where she was also a member of the Ladies One Sunday school class. She was employed with Southern Optical Company here in Greensboro. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, and "Mamaw" to her family. And she loved all animals that crossed her path. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Faye Michael. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Barnett of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lavone Barnett; daughter, Brandi Barnett; sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and Lee Spencer; grandchildren, Reid, Noah, and Erin; along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Lebanon Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Ladies One Sunday school class, c/o Lebanon Baptist Church, 4635 Hicone Rd, Greensboro, NC 27405.
