OBITUARIES Mrs. Julia Vivian Moore Ross
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Julia Vivian Moore Ross, 94, of 1975 Altamahaw-Union Ridge Road, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, June 27, 2004. A native of Alamance County, she was born October 12, 1909, to John Robert Vance and Mary Frances Luna Somers Moore.
    She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church where she was elected as Senior Citizen of the Year and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
    Mrs. Ross is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Louise Johnson and husband, Johnny, Mrs. Olivia Lassiter and husband, Hal, Mrs. Mary Jane Freeman and husband, Charles and Ms. Linda Bergman, all of Burlington; two sons, Jerry A. Ross and Gary R. Ross and his wife, Shirley, both of Burlington; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren and four greatstepgrandchildren; sister, Mrs. Frances Webster and husband, George L., of Graham; three brothers, Minot Moore and wife, Leona, Gilbert Moore and wife, Edith and Carl Moore all of Burlington; sisterin-law, Mrs. Bessie "Tom" Moore of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Henon Ross, son, John Cecil Ross, grandson, Keith Randall Lassiter; sisters, Faye Wrenn and Lillian Brown; brothers, Clarence Moore, Glynden Moore, Homer Moore, Allen Wilson Moore, Preston Holt Moore and William Robert Moore.
    Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Dave Gilbert and Rev. Matthew Smith. Interment will follow in Stony Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Following the visitation, Mrs. Ross will be carried to the home where she will remain until taken to the church for the funeral service.
