Mr. George  L. Webster 

    GRAHAM — Mr. George  L. Webster , 88, of 1154 Hanford Road, Graham, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at 10:20 p.m. at his residence.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Frances Moore Webster , who survives, and the son of John A. Webster  and Corina Perry Webster , both deceased. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham and the National Guard. He was retired from the Graham Fire Department and was the first paid firefighter in Graham.
    Survivors other than the wife of the home are four sons, Mr. John Alvis Webster  and wife, Joan, of Graham, Mr. Francis Aaron Webster  and wife, Becky, of Graham, Mr. Richard Gregg Webster  of Graham, and Mr. Charles Freo Webster  and wife, Cindy, of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George  Randolph "Randy" Webster ; two sisters, Mrs. Mary W. Satterfield and Mrs. Ruth W. Allen; three half sisters, Mrs. Gaynell Pickard, Mrs. Katie Parrish and Mrs. Julia Lashley; and two half brothers, Mr. Ralph Webster  and Mr. Rex Webster .
    The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church of Graham by Dr. Kenneth Hall and Dr. Tommy Willis. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to the First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 N. Main St., Graham, N.C. 27253.
