Church Hill- Michael Davis Ward, 60, went to be with the Lord in the comfort of his home on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Michael was born on May 3, 1965, in Kingsport, TN, to his parents, Wanda and Dave Ward, and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Michael retired from Cooper Standard as a maintenance electrician. He enjoyed farming, camping, riding horses, and operating heavy equipment.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Davis “Dave” Ward; stepfather, James Gray; and sister, Robin Thompson.

Michael is survived by his mother, Wanda Gray; wife, Patricia “Pat” Ward; children, Daniel Ward and wife Brittany, Melanie Lane and husband Trevor, Ethan Ward and wife Kendra; stepchildren Nicole Estep and husband Bruce, Jonathan Carver, and Lara and husband Shawn Gilliam; grandchildren, Kaden and Keira Ward, Laramie and Walker Lane, Brady Lawson, Bruce Jr. and Natalie Estep, Tanner and Charlie Gilliam, Lorena, Timmy, and John Carver. Sisters, Donna Minor and husband Gary, Kristy Salyer and husband Michael; brother, Scotty Ward; along with several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, loved ones and constant companion his dog Sammy.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Vanoy officiating. A graveside service will follow at Jones Family Cemetery in Church Hill.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Hunley, Scott Rutledge, Tommy Jones, Dickie Christian, Troy Davis, Timmy Christian, Greg Christian, Jeffery Dickerson, Brian Quillen, and Terry Christian.
