Marcus “Mark” Milton Busick, age 77, passed peacefully in the early hours of December 10th, 2024.

Mark had been in declining health at Blumenthal Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro for several years.

Mark was born in Guilford County on February 2, 1947 to the late Daniel “Dan” Reuben Busick and Ruby Cook Busick.  

Mark was a hard worker and lifetime farmer in the McLeansville area. He loved being outdoors either hunting, fishing or working on the farm. Mark was a lifetime member of Apple’s Chapel.

He served in the US Navy.

He truly loved his family and will be missed by all. His simple but sincere faith in Christ brought him through many lifetime events.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Peggy Atkinson Busick, and their two children, Erica Lorynn Busick Batten and husband, Phillip, and Brian Edward Busick; grandchildren Winford Thomas Batten, Mia Catherine Batten and Wesley McLean Batten; sisters Janie Honeycutt, Sharon Orange and Brenda Church (Jim).

Along with his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brothers, Ronnie Busick, Reuben “Teet” Busick and Ricky Busick.
