WINFORD ARTHUR PAGE

MAY 6, 1936 – MARCH 26, 2026

Winford Arthur Page, a man whose life was marked by dedication, compassion, and an enduring love for family, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2026, surrounded by those who cherished him most.

Born on May 6, 1936, in Caswell County, he lived a life rich with meaningful work, heartfelt relationships, and unwavering commitments.

A proud veteran, Winford served his country with honor in the Army, where he earned certification as Military Police. He was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama and part of his rotation included post-war Korea. His military service was a testament to his loyalty and discipline, qualities that became hallmarks of his character throughout his life.

Educated and driven, Winford received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Memphis State University and pursued graduate studies in Economics at UNCG. His career was distinguished by over four decades of dedicated service at Burlington Industries, culminating in his role as Rate Department Manager of the Transportation Division. His colleagues remembered him for his goal-oriented approach and dependable nature, always striving to excel while maintaining a good sense of humor and generosity.

Outside of his professional achievements, Winford was an avid reader. He amassed a large collection of books that fueled his curious mind. He cherished the outdoors, finding peace on his tractor and in the company of his cattle, tending to his farm with care and dedication. Traveling brought him great happiness, especially bus trips taken with his beloved wife, moments that were filled with laughter and discovery.

Above all, family was Winford’s greatest treasure. He is survived by his children: Janet “Jan” Page Wagner and her husband Dean, Randall Page, and Jeff Page with his wife Robin, his granddaughters, Jessica and Grace Page, whom he loved dearly and enjoyed spending precious time with.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Rachel Huffines Page as well as parents, Arthur Burch and Rosa Smith Page, his siblings: Robert O. Page, Nellie Reid Robertson, Rovena Ward, and William “Billy” Page.

Winford was known for his good humor, a loyal and goal-oriented mindset, and a compassion that extended even to animals, highlighting a life lived with profound empathy and warmth. Those who knew him will forever hold close the memories of his gentle laughter and steadfast spirit.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Authoracare Hospice as well as Honor – Home Instead Home health for their compassionate care of Winford.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Caswell Parish 1038 Main St. Yanceyville, NC 27379 or to Authora Care Collective 2504 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405.
