Funeral for Paul Johnson Held Monday

Paul Johnson, 39, of Early avenue, Draper, died suddenly about 5:30 p.m. Saturday of a heart attack at his home.

He was born August 8, 1931 in Guilford County, the son of James Weldon and Lena Gerringer Johnson.

He had been in Draper 15 years and was employed by American Tobacco Company.

He was a veteran of World War II and an assistant Scoutmaster for the Draper Methodist church troop.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Gillie Johnson; three sons: Edward, David and Charles Johnson, all of the home; his mother; one brother, Silas Johnson, of Reidsville; two sisters, Mrs. F.R. Huffines, of route 1, Brown Summit, and Mrs. T.W. Combs, of route 1, Gibsonville.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Draper Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. W.A. Rock, assisted by Joseph Craft and Robert Stewart. Burial followed in Dan View Cemetery.
