Claudia Whitlow Faucette
BURLINGTON — Claudia Whitlow Faucette, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Alamance Health Care Center.

She was born in Danville, Va. Aug. 4, 1922, to James and Daisy Daniels Whitlow, both deceased. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Faucette; and her two sisters, Gaynell Dean and Mary Harrison.

Mrs. Faucette was retired from Southern Bell and, after retirement, enjoyed her work and love for her church. She was a faithful member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and never failed to daily remember her church through prayer and encouragement, even when she wasn’t physically able to attend. She will be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior. She was a thoughtful and sweet spirit who took great joy and pleasure remembering birthdays, marriages, sicknesses, and all special occasions with a card and a precious personal thought that will always be remembered.

Mrs. Faucette is survived by her nephews, Edgar Dean and wife Marchaline and Jimmy Harrison and wife Jane; her niece, Patricia West and husband Bobby.

   Services

will be conducted at 11a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bob Stephenson. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Glen Hope Baptist Church, 911 North Ave., Burlington, NC 27217.

The family would like to thank the staff of Alamance Health Care and Springview Assisted Living for the gracious care they took of Mrs. Faucette.
