Mrs. Edna Pearl Gee
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Edna Pearl Gee, 84, of 1552 Granville St., died
Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at her residence after 18 months of declining
health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Wallace Gee,
who survives, and the daughter of the late Daniel McGruder Sullivan
and Pearl Sellars Sullivan. She was a business manager for Wallace
Sales and was a lifetime member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. She
served as treasurer of the Church Women, was a member of a
Sunday school class, lifetime member of the Ladies Bible Class and
was a member of Circle No. 5.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include four sons, Mr.
Charles Daniel Gee and wife, Joanne, of Pensacola, Fla., Mr. James
Thomas Gee and wife, Lela, of Clear Lake, Calif., Mr. William David
Gee and wife, Kay, of Burlington, and Mr. John Franklin Gee and wife,
Xylda, of Elon; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three
great-grandchildren and five great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. James Sullivan.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Lutheran
Church by the Rev. Stephen C. Rust. Burial will be in Pine Hill
Cemetery.
The family will be at Macedonia Lutheran Church from 2 to 3 p.m.
Sunday, and at other times at the residence.
The body will remain at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington
until taken to the church for the visitation and service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran
