Thelma Troxler Kearns
BURLINGTON — Thelma Troxler Kearns of Asheboro, N.C., formerly of Burlington, N.C., died May 4, 2003.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. R.M. Troxler of Burlington. She was the wife of the late C. Wayne Kearns of Asheboro, N.C., and sister of the late Mrs. Kathryn Troxler Dunnagan of Burlington.
Mrs. Kearns was a former member of the Belle-Lettres Club in Burlington, and a charter member of the Musical Arts Club of Asheboro. For many years, she was a member of the church chorus of Burlington and Asheboro churches. Mrs. Kearns attended St. Mary’s in Raleigh and graduated from Arlington Hall in Washington, D.C. She attended Greensboro College as a student of Walter Vasser, voice professor.
Mrs. Kearns is survived by her sister, Mrs. Mildred Troxler Sullivan of Asheboro, Mrs. Ann Dunnagan Hutton, a niece of Kernersville, nephews, W. Paul Sullivan Jr. of Brooksville, Florida and R. Christopher Sullivan of Collierville, Tn. And several great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece.
Rich & Thompson Mortuary of Burlington will be in charge of funeral arrangements. A graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington at one o’clock on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. til 12:30 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington prior to the service.3, Thelma Troxler Kearns
