Beulah Tickle King Stone 


    BURLINGTON — Beulah Tickle King Stone , 98, of 100 Wade Coble Drive, Burlington, died at Twin Lakes Center on Friday, October 13, 2006.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Wilbur L. King  and Arthur Calvin Stone , and the daughter of James Vastine Tickle  Sr. and Carrie Gerringer Tickle , both deceased.
    She was employed at May Hosiery Mill in earlier years as a bookkeeper and retired as a Realtor in Lake Worth, Fla. in 1995.
    Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Stone  Wood of Hayesville, N.C. and Cheryl Stone  Murphy of Wilmington, N.C.; four grandchildren, Lynette Wood Alexander, Clyde Brook Wood, Melissa Rose Wood Bauguess, and Christina Michelle Murphy; and one great-granddaughter, Savannah Veronique Alexander; one sister, Faye Lentz of Charlotte; and one stepbrother, George Turner of Burlington.
    She was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwight Tickle , Clyde Tickle , J.V. Tickle , and Vernon Tickle .
    The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Craven Ford. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Twin Lakes Center, 100 Wade Coble Drive, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to a charity of one’s choice.
