Paul M. Mansfield


    BURLINGTON — Paul M. Mansfield, 90, of 2243 Durham St. Ext., passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Graham.

    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Virginia Forbis Mansfield and son of the late William and Tiny Gerringer Mansfield. Paul was a member of W. Burlington Church of God and founder of Mansfield Roofing. His love was fishing and hunting.

    Survivors include his daughters, Sylvia M. Jenkins and husband Sammy, and Wanda DeRush; sons, Donald “Duck” Mansfield and wife Virginia, and William “Squirrel” Mansfield and wife Linda; 19 grandchildren; 41 greatgrandchildren and 15 greatgreat-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Paul M. Mansfield Jr.; and daughter, Valkie Meadows Hathaway.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Olin Tatum.

Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

Mr. Mansfield will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service.

    The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday and at other times at the home of William and Linda Mansfield, 1127 W. Webb Ave., Burlington.

    Memorials may be made to Paul’s funeral fund at Lowe Funeral Home.
