Mrs. Iona M. Graves
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Iona Mansfield Graves, 78, of 2248 Melrose Drive, died at 7:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after many years of failing health, one week critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Floyd Graves and the daughter of Mr. William James Mansfield and Mrs. Tiny Gerringer Mansfield, both deceased. She was a homemaker and attended West Burlington Church of God.
Survivors include two brothers, Mr. Cletus Mansfield of Elon College and Mr. Paul Mansfield of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ms. Lola Poole, Ms. Adell Ward and Ms. Balkie Mansfield; and five brothers, Mr. Jivis Mansfield, Mr. Toy Glenn Mansfield, Mr. Ornial Mansfield, Mr. Kalsie Mansfield and Mr. Cleo Mansfield.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today Wednesday at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. Olin Tatum, pastor of West Burlington Church of God.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from noon to 1:30 p.m. today, and at other times at the home of Mr. William Mansfield, 2233 Durham St. Ext., Burlington.
