ELON — Ednora Bula Barber Pyle , 85, of 1762 Prince Edward Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 9, 2006, at Edgewood Place.
She was born in Alamance County, daughter of the late Henean Littleton and Anna Gerringer Barber, and was married to the late Samuel Wilson Pyle . She was a former employee of Tower Hosiery, a member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church, where she was a member of the Macie May / Lightbearers Sunday school class and the Ladies Circle #2.
She is survived by her niece, Ann (David) Harris of Elon; great-niece, Elizabeth Ann Harris; and cousins, Lee (Sabrina) Barber of Ossipee, Hilda (James) Jenkins of Roanoke Rapids, and Shelton Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Marshal Lee Pyle ; and brothers, Frank Barber, Willard L. Barber and H. Cornelius Barber.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Peoples Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. John Shields, and Mr. Jim Hogsett officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Peoples Memorial Christian Church, 247 N.C. 87 North, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
