Mary Ann Seiple

Mary Ann Seiple was born on December 4, 1949 to parents Edgar and Eloise Tate of Greensboro.
She graduated from Grimsley High School and Appalachian State University, and became a teacher in the public schools. A member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, she was baptized, confirmed, and sang in the choir. She later received a Master of Divinity degree from Boston University School of Theology and was ordained as a United Methodist Church minister, serving churches in Thomasville, Jamestown, and Hiddenite, NC. For many years she was active in Toastmasters International, earning the Distinguished Toastmaster award, and in gardening. After retiring from Hudson Belk, she earned the designation of Master Gardener. She also loved to cook and do needlepoint. She was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, where she served as an elder and was a longstanding member of the chancel choir.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Ted Stewart, and her second husband, Bill Seiple.
Her survivors include her sister, Agnes Thoma; son, Ted Stewart, Jr., and his wife, Rebecca; and four grandchildren .
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Raleigh at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church Music Program, 3120 N. New Hope Rd., Raleigh, NC 27604.
