Hilda Farrell Johnson
Hilda Farrell Johnson, age 92, of Burlington, passed away at the Alamance House on Friday, April 10, 2020.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Earl Harding Johnson and the daughter of the late Clarence Cicero Farrell and the late Mary Glosson Farrell. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Hilda is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and greatgreat-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy F. Pass and Maxine F. Powell and her brothers, Delbert O. Farrell, Truman T. Farrell and C. Wayne Farrell.
Hilda worked for years as the bookkeeper for Norton-Russ Automotive in Burlington and made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed going out to eat and was a regular at many local restaurants. She also had a love for gardening and spent many hours tending her gardens.
In light of the recent restrictions due to Coronavirus, the family will hold be holding a private graveside service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell or to a children’s charity of your choice.
