Wayne Farrell

 
 GIBSONVILLE — Clarence Wayne Farrell, age 69, of 802 Driftwood Dr. passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
 
 A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Clarence Cicero and Mary Jane Edna Glosson Farrell and husband of Kathryn Hinshaw Farrell who survives.
 
 Wayne was V.P. of manufacturing with Holt Sublimation, a member of Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church, served on the Board of Stewards and Trustees, was a member of the church choir and former teacher of the Willing Workers Class. Wayne was known for having a great concern for his family, church family and friends. He really enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially Italy.
 
 He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Hinshaw Farrell of the home; sons, Hugh Eric Farrell and wife Yvonne Rumple of Burlington and Christopher Clark Farrell and wife Jennifer Simmons of Graham; grandchildren, Eric Wayne Farrell (Ashleigh), Evan Wade Farrell, Mary Katelyn Farrell and Kristen Danielle Farrell; great grandson, Kylan Grady Farrell; sisters, Maxine Powell and Hilda Johnson both of Burlington and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Truman Tremont Farrell and Delbert Odell Farrell and sister, Peggy Pass.
 
 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church by Rev. Jimmy Burks, pastor. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Farrell will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm Monday and at the home at other times.
