BURLINGTON — Mrs. Ola Jane Stout Glosson, 81, formerly of Burlington, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Haven House Hospice in Atlanta after three years of failing health, two weeks critical. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. James Donald Glosson, and the daughter of Mr. Amos Clarence Stout and Mrs. Belle Melissa Brewer Stout, both deceased. She was a retired cafeteria manager with the Burlington City School System. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Loretta G. Hodges of Miami and Mrs. Donna G. (Mac) Forbes of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Temple of Raleigh and Mrs. Leona Crawford of Burlington; a brother, Mr. Luther Stout of Burlington; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three half brothers, Mr. Elvin Stout, Mr. Ernest Stout and Mr. Lest Stout.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grove Park Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger, pastor, Dr. Roy P. Taylor, pastor emeritus, and the Rev. Rodger Roach, minister of music. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Saturday evening.
