October 23, 1942 - August 26, 2023
Ms. Mabel Shepherd Brann, 80, of Brown's Summit passed away on August 26, 2023 at her home. Born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Verdie (Brooks) Shepherd.
Mabel is survived by her children, Daniel Brann and David Brann; her grandchildren, Will, Lane, and Megan Brann, and Lindsey and Justin Collins; her great-grandchildren, Brea and Bane Brann, Tupoc and Junior Collins, and Jacen Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Collins, and her brothers and sisters.
As it was Mabel's wish to donate her body to Duke School of Medicine, there will be a service held at a later date with details to come.
