Russell Guy "R.G." Brown Jr.
ELON COLLEGE - Russell Guy "R.G." Brown Jr., 68, of 1335 N.C. 87 North, died Saturday at his home.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shallow Ford United Methodist Church of Christ, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Alamance County, he was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Mayfair Plant, and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Erma Barker Brown; daughters, Mrs. Faye Davis, Mrs. Nelda Ellis, both of Elon College; sons, Hal Brown of Raleigh, Phil Brown of Elon College, Wayne Davis of Durham, Cholly Brown of Burlington; sisters, Mrs. Alyse Tickel, Mrs. LaMonna Matkins, both of Burlington, Mrs. Louise Davis of Durham; brother, Fred Brown of Burlington; three grandchildren.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the residence of a daughter, 2066 Powerline Road, Elon College.420
