GLENDA BROWN LEWALLEN, age 70 of Clarkesville, passed away on Monday, June 08, 2015.
Born in Alamance County, North Carolina on July 28, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Walter Rankin & Ada Moore Brown. Mrs. Lewallen was a receptionist with Fieldale Farms with 21 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, Glenda enjoyed collecting antiques, decorating houses, and fundraising activities at her church. She was a member of the Clarkesville Baptist Church for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her son, Walter Lee Lewallen and a niece, Kay Brown Rogers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Bruce Lewallen, Clarkesville; granddaughter, Caroline Glenda Lewallen; brother & sister-in-law, Donald & Jewell Brown, Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Linda Caudell, Baldwin; nieces, Tora Zara-Pierce AND Kimberly Staples; nephew, Chan Caudell; great-nieces, Gracie Caudell AND MacKenzie Staples; great-nephews, Scott Pitts, Smith Caudell, and Chasen Zara; great-great-nieces, Addie & Morgan; great-great-nephew, Hogan.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Grady Walden & Rev. Bobby Gastley officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that all donations be made in memory of Glenda Brown Lewallen, Clarkesville Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 667 Clarkesville, Georgia 30523.
