Geneva Gray “Grey” Stanfield Mobley, 89, formerly of 1221 South Park Dr. Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday January 9, 2015 at Annie Penn Hospital

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday January 12, 2015 at Main Street United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ara McKinney Stanfield and had lived in Reidsville her entire life. She was a retired Vice-President of First National Bank where she worked 40 years. As a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, she served as treasurer and choir member. She was a member of the Flora Garden Club, a board member of the Salvation Army, a member of Pennrose Park Country Club, and was very active in the community. Grey was a bridge player and a self-taught , avid investor. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips abroad with a special group of friends. However, her favorite times were spent with her grandsons, Will & Sam. She took vacations with them too, notably to Disney World and Old Williamsburg. Whether in a bowling alley or sideline of their sports game, she was always their best cheerleader. Grey was preceded in death by her husband: William Moore “Bill” Mobley, and two brothers: Paul Stanfield, and Bobby Stanfield. Surviving: a daughter: AraLu Mobley Lindsey and husband Martin of Chapel Hill, NC, grandchildren: William Gray Lindsey of New York City, NY, and Samuel Martin Lindsey of Chapel Hill, NC. Grey is also survived by a loving extended family and many very dear friends, as well as her church and Carolina House families. Friends are invited to visit 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. Monday January 12, 2015 before the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Mobley family. Memorials may be sent to: Main St United Methodist Church P.O.
