Richard “Dick” Newton Bradshaw, Sr., 79, of Mebane, NC passed away at his residence on Monday, July 22, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Delores Terrell Bradshaw and the son of Walsie Bradshaw and Mabel Louise Goldston Bradshaw, both deceased. He retired from Cortina Fabrics. Richard loved sports. He coached youth baseball, played softball, and later became an umpire for both sports. He also loved to fish.
Survivors include three children, Richard N. “Ritchie” Bradshaw, Jr., Raymond Bradshaw and wife Beth, and Robin Watkins; three grandchildren, Jonathan Bowman, Nicholas Bowman, and Miranda Bradshaw; a great grandchild, Carter Demastus; and brothers and sisters, John Bradshaw, Bill Bradshaw, Claude Bradshaw, Alice Simpson, and Sue Copeland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Bradshaw; sister, Mary Teer; and Richard’s first wife, Judy Bradshaw.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. 261, Richard "Dick" Newton Bradshaw Sr.
