Clarence Everette Johnson, 92, of Burlington, N.C., died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at the Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Orange County and was the son of the late Walter Johnson and Neta Terrell Johnson.
He retired from Western Electric and was a member of Graham Wesleyan Church. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.
His wife, Ina Mitchell Johnson, of the Harrisonburg area, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Faye Doby of Burlington; four sons, the Rev. Marlin Clarence Johnson of Forest City, N.C., Stephen Dale Johnson of Wake Forest, N.C., Paul Dallas Johnson of the home, and John Mitchell of Elon; three sisters, Maggie Britt of Burlington, Arlene Quakenbush of Albany, Ga. and Barbara Flack of Burlington; four brothers, Albert Johnson of Kimesville, Richard Johnson of Burlington, Paul Johnson of Arapahoe, N.C. and Ronnie Johnson of Burlington; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Donald Dawalt will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
