Clara "Belle" Joyce Gerringer

GIBSONVILLE – Clara "Belle" Joyce Gerringer, 89, of Gibsonville was called home by the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 28, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her husband of 65 years ER and her family.
Belle was born in Stokes County on October 31, 1928 the daughter of the late Walter Lee Joyce and Beaulah Ernestine Dezern Joyce.

She retired from several places including Cone Mills, Food Lion and Cedar Crest Golf Course. Belle loved life, softball, water skiing, golfing and of course her family.
There was always a lot of coffee on, and if you were in the mood, a good political discussion, as she was a staunch Republican. Belle never thought she would love a dog, but Ruby changed her heart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Neese and Toodie Sharpe. On March 7, 1953 she married her husband of 65 years, ER Gerringer who survives her.
Surviving in addition to her husband ER Gerringer of the home are one daughter, Cheryl Marley (Jack) of Mebane; a son Danny Gerringer (Denise) of Mebane ; a sister Joan May of Whitsett; three grandchildren, Joshua Gerringer (Lauran) of Burlington, Jimmy Lee Halacheff (Kendra) of Burlington and Barron Gerringer (Jenna) of Greensboro; and six great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Gibsonville Christian Church with Pastor William Baker officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Gibsonville Christian Church Building Fund.
