Margaret Evelyn Blythe Isley
ELON - Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Blythe Isley, formerly of Elon, passed away on Thursday, July 21 at the age of 103 at Liberty Commons in Burlington.
Born on See Off Mountain near Brevard, she moved to this area with her family at the age of 12.
She was the wife of the late Challis T. Isley for over 65 years, and was the daughter of William Jefferson Blythe and Leona Hamilton Blythe, both deceased.
She retired from Carolina Biological Supply Company after more than 25 years as a lab technician.
She was a member of Shallow Ford Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert L. Isley and his wife Robin of Elon; one brother, Walter Blythe of Whitsett, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Challis T. Isley; her parents William Jefferson Blythe and Leona Hamilton Blythe; two sisters, Ella Blythe Greeson Long and Annie Sue Blythe; four brothers, Hamilton Blythe, Dennis Calvin Blythe, Harold Alonzo Blythe and Marion Francis Blythe.
Funeral services will be held Shallow Ford Christian Church in Elon on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 3 p.m., conducted by Pastor Steve Regan.
The body will lie in state for 1 hour before the service. Visitation with thefamily will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall at the Church.
A graveside committal service will be held Monday morning at 10 am at Alamance Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Shallow Ford Christian Church Building Improvements Fund, 1263 Shallowford Church Rd, Elon, NC 27244.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the many fine staff members at Liberty Commons who gave such great dedication, friendship, and loving care to Margaret and her family over the past 10 years.
