Obituary for Carrie Wilson Paschal
REIDSVILLE – Carrie Wilson Paschal, 92, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.

Mrs. Paschal was born in Rockingham County on September 23, 1923, to the late Jody Wilson and Della Ward Wilson, and was the wife of the late Lester Mills Paschal.

She was a homemaker in the Cherry Grove community and was dedicated to taking care of her family and others. She enjoyed cooking and was especially known for her homemade biscuits and chocolate pies.

Mrs. Paschal was baptized in 1944 in Hogan’s Creek and continued to show her love for the Lord throughout her life.

She is survived by her children Clyde (Judy) Paschal of China Grove, Wilbert (Margie) Paschal of College Grove, TN, Joan (Elmer) Byrd of Elon, DeLois “Dee” (Robert) Summers, and Ray (Diane) Paschal of Burlington; and a sister, Mary Moore of Reidsville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Clyde Wilson, Clay Wilson, Rossie Wilson and Willie Wilson; and sisters, Estella Jones and Minnie Massey Hopkins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville. At other times the family will be meeting at the home of Elmer and Joan Byrd.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. Darrell Massey in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Karen Patterson and her caregivers at Above and Beyond II in Graham for all the love and care they showed “Miss Carrie”.
