BURLINGTON – Mrs. Elaine Simmons Dabbs, 77, of Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 12:52 p.m.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Wilbur Jones “Joe” Dabbs and the daughter of Aubrey Simmons and Eliza Harrelson Simmons, both deceased. Mrs. Dabbs was a homemaker and a member of Open Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Dabbs Markham and husband Bill of Haw River; son, Jimmy Dabbs of the home; three sisters, Audrey Hall and husband Bennie of Union Ridge, Patricia Rudd and husband Kenneth of Union Ridge and Judy Howell and husband Mac of Burlington; brother, Ken Simmons and wife Linda of Yanceyville; and a special sister-in-law, Emma McKinney of Burlington.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Steve Pruitt. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
