Wade C. Euliss
BURLINGTON – Mr. Wade C. Euliss, 90, of Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 3:15 p.m. following a brief illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Elinor Gean Samons Euliss and the son of Jesse C. Euliss and Lolita Foster Euliss, both deceased. Mr. Euliss was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He graduated from Elon College and the Law School at Warren G. Harding School of Law at Ohio Northern University. In 1997, he retired after 40 years of service from his law firm in Greensboro.
Mr. Euliss was very active in the anti-abortion movement and the Republican Party. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three children, Charles Rice and wife Judy of Stoneville, Nancy James of Burlington and Jane Rice of Graham; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Foy Vey Becknell of Mooresville and Kathleen Smith and husband Boyd of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Nathan Hooks. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kimesville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215; to Right to Life, 3523 Rehobeth Church Rd, Greensboro 27406; or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2719 Bellemont-Alamance Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
