Barry Lynn Kernodle, 52, of Efland, died May 21, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Alamance Caswell.
Born in Alamance County on June 6,1964, he was the son of Howard Ellis (Sr) and Alma Modlin Kernodle. He worked in construction with Orange Truss Company, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, Barry is survived by his long time companion, Diane Renee Cook; daughters, Heather Ivey (Jason), Missy Thompson (Jason Cook), and Allison New (Justin); brother, Junior Kernodle, wife Rhonda, their children Ashley Kirby, Ashley Shue, Amanda Shue; and their grandchildren Garrett and Jace Neighbors; sister, Wanda Roberson (George); special nephew Michael Riley (Tiffany) and their daughter Macie; and 11 grandchildren.
Barry was preceded in death by his mother; two sons, Joshua Denton and Barry Lynn Kernodle, Jr; and two grandchildren.
The memorial service to celebrate the life of Barry Kernodle will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Jim Florence will preside. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the graveside rites.
