Archie Edward Owens, son of Charley Chester and Nora Myrtle Mace Owens, was born Aug 26, 1944, in Wright County, MO.

He departed this life Oct 12, 1992, in the Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 48 years, 1 month and 16 days.

On Mar 28, 1964, he was united in marriage to Linda Lou Gallion and to this union 2 sons and 2 daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Janice Kay Owens; one sister Sharon Marie Owens; his maternal grandfather Andy Mace; and his paternal grandparents E. Britton and Janey Owens.

Archie is survived by his wife Linda of the home; 2 sons Archie E. Owens, Jr., of El Dorado, KS, and Michael Owens of Kansas City, KS; one daughter Lou Ann Owens of Edwards, MO; his parents Chester and Nora Owens of Osceola, MO; his maternal grandmother Lillie Hurt of Mansfield, MO; 5 brothers Charlie Cook and Jerry Owens, both of McLouth, KS, Wayne and Bobby Owens, both of Kansas City, KS, and Jackie Owens of Osceola, MO; 3 sisters Darlene Gardner of Kansas City, KS, Wanda Beeler of Macomb, MO, and Sandy DeBoard of Des Arc, MO; one granddaughter Amanda Owens of Kansas City, KS; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He spent most of his childhood in the Hartville area and attended the Hartville schools. Shortly after he and Linda were married they moved to Kansas City, KS, where they made their home and lovingly raised their family. For the last 6 years they had lived in Edwards, MO. He worked for the Kansas City Cold Storage Company as a forklift mechanic and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Recently Archie had professed his faith in Christ and had become a Christian.

He enjoyed being outdoors where he liked to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed fixing up his 1967 Chevrolet truck and showing it in antique car and truck shows. Archie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and all those who knew and loved him.
