Buford L. Craig followed the angels home to glory after a long battle with cancer Feb. 21, 2008. He was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Springfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ida (Hannah) Craig; three brothers; three sisters and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife Maxine with whom he spent more than 60 happy years; one daughter, Sherryl and her husband Darrell Hooton of Springfield; one son, Randy and his wife Janie, also of Springfield; three grandchildren, Scott, Shana and her husband Josh, and Amber; five great-grandchildren, Trey, Taylor, Makayla, Kaylee and Ethan; and one sister, Viola Winder of Utah. He goes on before a loving family at Broadway Baptist Church, where he faithfully served the Lord for 49 years.
Buford served as a radioman in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired after 25 years of employment with Zenith leaving him plenty of time for family and garage sales. He will be greatly missed. At the family's request, donations can be made to Community Hospice, in light of the loving care they took of our dad. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday in Broadway Baptist Church. Psalms 23
