Joan Marie Halfbreed was born March 11, 1929 to Cleo (Perryman) and Roy Barnes, and she departed this world April 21, 2016. February 12, 1946, she married Randolph Halfbreed, and they enjoyed 57 adventurous years together until he passed in 2003.
They had one [adopted] child, Quilaky [Halfbreed], who preceded them in death in 1988.
She was a retired Vice President of Bank of Oklahoma.
Joan is survived by two granddaughters, Shauna Elrod and husband Jay, and Quilina Halfbreed, and two great grandchildren, Abigail Cleo and Lily Pearl.
Her strong sense of humor and lively story-telling will be greatly missed by her family, numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF Tulsa to honor her wish for a cure for her great granddaughter, or to Clarehouse in Tulsa for the compassionate care they provide.
